Heart put off the remaining shows on their Royal Flush Tour while frontwoman Ann Wilson undergoes treatment for and recovers from cancer. The rest of the dates on the band’s North American tour have been postponed to 2025.

Ann Wilson revealed she was diagnosed with cancer in a statement issued today. “I underwent an operation to remove something that, as it turns out, was cancerous,” Wilson said in the statement. “The operation was successful & I’m feeling great but my doctors are now advising me to undergo a course of preventive chemotherapy & I’ve decided to do it.” The singer added, “my doctors are instructing me to take the rest of the year away from the stage in order to fully recover.”

New dates for the tour, which included stadium shows with Journey and Def Leppard, are in the works. “To the ticket buyers, I really do wish we could do these gigs. Please know that I absolutely plan to be back on stage in 2025,” Ann Wilson continued. “My team is getting those details sorted & we’ll let you know the plan as soon as we can.”

Wilson ended the statement by noting, “respecfully, this is the last public statement I’d like to make on the matter.”

The group, led by Ann Wilson and sister Nancy Wilson, previously canceled the European leg of the Royal Flush Tour. The run through Europe was called off so that Ann could undergo “a time-sensitive but routine procedure for which the minimum recovery time is six weeks.” Heart returned to the stage last December after a four-year hiatus.
