Hayley Williams Closes Solo Tour By Honoring Sinéad O’Connor In Dublin

Hayley Williams closed out her first solo tour with a special surprise for fans in Dublin on Tuesday night, premiering a cover of Irish icon Sinéad O’Connor’s “Mandinka.”

The Hayley Williams A Bachelorette Party tour concluded with the Paramore frontwoman’s second of two Dublin performances. Williams launched the 43-show trek on March 28 in support of her 2025 solo album, Ego Death At A Bachelorette Party.

Many special guests made appearances during the outing, including Jenny Lewis, Julien Baker, Reggie Watts, Jack Antonoff, Bethany Cosentino, Jay Som, Rachel Brown, Noah Kahan and Jason Isbell.

Williams and her quartet performed all 20 songs from Ego Death At A Bachelorette Party, along with her debut performance of “Mandinka” and a cover of Nina Simone’s “Don’t Let Me Be Misunderstood.” Opener Water From Your Eyes joined Williams for “Dream Girl In Shibuya” late in the show.

Introducing “Mandinka,” Williams told the audience:

“This goes out to all the Irish artists who use their voice, they’re so inspiring.

“And of course, Queen Sinéad O’Connor.”

Williams then launched into “Mandinka,” which O’Connor wrote and recorded for her 1987 debut album, The Lion And The Cobra. The geographically-appropriate cover saw Williams sing and play electric guitar.

Hayley Williams will perform at the 2026 Newport Folk Festival later this month. She’ll then embark on “The Hayley Williams Show” tour on September 3.
