Today, July 26, marks Mick Jagger’s 76th birthday, and he’s not slowing down a bit. Although he recently underwent heart surgery, The Rolling Stones frontman is already back up on stage struttin’ around on The Stones’ 2019 No Filter Tour. To celebrate, JamBase takes a look at a Stones show from the Cotton Bowl in Dallas on a rainy Halloween in 1981 for this edition of Full Show Friday.

Mick and the band kicked things off with “Under My Thumb” followed by “When The Whip Comes Down.” Jagger then prefaced “Let’s Spend The Night Together” by saying that the band is going to trick-or-treat in the hotel lobby after the show. “Shattered” followed before the band got into material from their current album at the time, Tattoo You, with “Neighbours” and “Black Limousine.”

The Stones then turned to covers with The Temptations’ “Just My Imagination” and Eddie Cochran’s “Twenty Flight Rock” ahead of “Let Me Go” from 1980’s Emotional Rescue. The band then reeled off a litany of classics including “Time Is on My Side,” “Beast Of Burden,” “Let It Bleed,” “You Can’t Always Get What You Want,” “Little T & A” and “Tumbling Dice.”

“She’s So Cold” followed — Mick introduced the song by saying “she’s so cold and I’m so wet” before toasting the crowd — ahead of “All Down The Line.” Tattoo You’s “Hang Fire” came next followed by another block of staples in “Miss You,” “Start Me Up,” ”Honky Tonk Women” and “Brown Sugar.” The Stones closed out the show with “Jumpin’ Jack Flash.”
