Guns N’ Roses Guitarists Work Gregg Allman Tribute Into ‘Don’t Cry’ Intro

Rock & Roll Hall Of Fame act Guns N’ Roses are currently in the middle of a European Tour that brings them to Denmark tonight. The band’s guitarists have been working elements of the Allman Brothers Band classic “Melissa” into the intro of “Don’t Cry” at recent performances.
GN’R guitarists Slash and Richard Fortus first added the intro featuring parts of Gregg Allman’s signature song in the days following Allman’s death. The most recent rendition of “Don’t Cry” including portions of “Melissa” took place on Saturday night in Werchter, Belgium. While many fan-shot videos of “Don’t Cry” start after the “Melissa” intro, there’s finally a clip that shows off Slash and Fortus’s tribute to Gregg.
