Greta Van Fleet released a “Heat Above” live performance video. The track is the latest single from the group’s sophomore studio album, The Battle At Garden's Gate, which arrives through Lava/Republic on April 16.
The members of Greta Van Fleet assembled in Nashville to film the “Heat Above” performance video. “‘Heat Above’ is theatrical, eloquent, and exaggerated,” noted Greta Van Fleet in a statement. “This is a dream in the clouds, a moment of peace in the storm. Thematically, we are dead center in the cult of Heaven, surreal, strange, alive and free.”

Greg Kurstin produced the 12-track follow-up to 2018’s Anthem Of The Peaceful Army, which was recorded in Los Angeles. “This album has taught us a lot, about life in general, about ourselves, about all of us, about the world we live in,” vocalist Josh Kiszka explained regarding The Battle At Garden’s Gate. “There was a lot of self-evolution happening during the writing of this album that was prompted by experiences I had, experiences we all had.”
