Greensky Bluegrass continued their 2020 winter tour at The Flynn Theatre in Burlington, Vermont on Tuesday night. GSBG welcomed Cabinet banjo player Pappy Biondo at the beginning of the second set as well as pianist Holly Bowling from opening band Ghost Light to close out the show.

Greensky kicked things off with “Burn Them” from their 2014 album If Sorrows Swim then headed into the traditional “Reuben’s Train” before returning to “Burn Them.” “Less Than Supper” and “Tuesday Letter” came next ahead of a cover of Traffic’s “Light Up Or Leave Me Alone.” After “Ashes” from the band’s 2019 album All For Money, GSBG closed out the first frame with “Leap Year.”

The second set got underway with “Murder Of Crows” followed by Ralph Stanley’s “Clinch Mountain Backstep.” Biondo then joined the group for the Smokey Robinson-penned Motown classic “Second That Emotion” before returning to more Stanley Brothers material with “Little Maggie.” Both songs with Biondo had seen the longest gap of the night at 28 shows, as per Phantasy Tour, with both tunes last played in Birmingham, Alabama on October 3. “Before Bring Out Your Dead” into “Bring Out Your Dead” came next ahead of “All For Money.” GSBG then brought out Bowling for “Windshield” and “Living Over” to bring the second set to a close. Bowling would stay on with the band for the encore of “Fixin’ To Ruin.”
