Watch Holly Bowling & Paul Hoffman Duet On ‘Windshield’ At The Anthem
Greensky Bluegrass wrapped up a two-night stand at The Anthem on Saturday night with help from Holly Bowling and Tom Hamilton of opening act Ghost Light. Bowling and GSBG’s Paul Hoffman teamed up for a gorgeous duet of “Windshield” as part of the first Greensky set, video of which can be viewed below.
Saturday’s Ghost Light set was a seamless affair bookended by “Best Kept Secret” featuring “Synth Driver” and “Diamond Eyes” within. Then, Greensky kicked off their first of two sets with “Just To Lie” and “Train Junkie.” Next up was a run of “Reverend,” “Ashes” and “Cathedral” eyes before the quintet served up a cover of The Traveling Wilbury’s “Handle With Care.” Holly first emerged for “Fixin’ To Ruin” and then paired with just Hoffman on the “Windshield” duet. The rest of GSBG returned for a “Living Over” set closer that also featured Bowling.
“Do It Alone” kicked off Greensky’s closing stanza. From there, the group followed “White Freight Liner Blues” with “Prom Night” and a “Wish I Didn’t Know” that gave way to “Tarpology” ahead of a cover of The Rolling Stones’ “No Expectations.” GSBG went on to perform “All For Money,” “Old Barns” and “Wings For Wheels” before Holly and Tom joined in on “Leap Year.” A fun jam on “Eye Of The Tiger” led into “Leap Year” and both Bowling and Hamilton added to the evening’s “Gimme Some Lovin'” encore.
