This Friday, April 13, longtime Grateful Dead crew member Steve Parish will participate in an Ask Me Anything Q&A session over on Reddit’s Grateful Dead subreddit. Parish’s AMA comes on the heels of a number of recent sessions involving members of the Grateful Dead’s orbit including Terrapin Family Band/Midnight North guitarist Grahame Lesh, monitor mixer Harry Popick and biographer/publicist Dennis McNally.

Parish will answer queries from fans between 4 – 6 p.m. PT on Friday night. Steve worked with the Dead and Jerry Garcia in a variety of positions between 1969 and 1995. In 2003, Parish wrote Home Before Daylight: My Life On The Road With The Grateful Dead, one of the definitive books about the band. An Amazon bio series based on the tome is reportedly in the works. More recently, Steve Parish hit the road as tour manager and storyteller with Moonalice. He also was Bob Weir’s co-host for the short-lived Weir Here series that originated from TRI Studios. Currently, Parish hosts “The Big Steve Hour” on SiriusXM’s Grateful Dead channel.
