Talented young guitarist Grace Bowers made her late night television debut on Jimmy Kimmel Live Monday. Bowers and her band The Hodge Podge performed “Tell Me Why U Do That.”

The song appears on Grace Bowers’ debut album, Wine On Venus, which arrived on Friday. “Tell Me Why U Do That” marked Grace’s debut single and she subsequently shared Wine On Venus’ title track and a cover of Sly & The Family Stone’s “Dance To The Music.”

For their Kimmel performance, Grace Bowers and The Hodge Podge — vocalist Esther Okai-Tetteh, drummer Brandon Combsand, bassist Eric Fortaleza, guitarist Prince Parker and keyboardist Joshua Blaylock — offered a fiery performance of “Tell Me Why U Do That.”

With Okai-Tetteh leading the way vocally over wah-soaked guitar from Bowers, the latter then reeled off a wailing solo before Parker joined for some more freeboard fireworks. Watch Grace Bowers and The Hodge Podge perform “Tell Me Why U Do That” on Kimmel below:
