Governors Ball Music Festival Expands 2021 Lineup & Announces COVID-19 Protocols

The full slate of this year’s Gov Ball After Dark concerts have also been confirmed.

Organizers of the Governors Ball Music Festival added a pair of acts to the event’s 2021 lineup. Additionally, COVID-19 protocols for the festival, which will be held at New York City’s Citi Field September 24 – 26, have been confirmed.

“Safety is always the number one priority at Governors Ball, and as such, a full COVID-19 vaccination or a negative COVID-19 test result will be required to attend the festival,” stated festival organizers in a press release. “For patrons who are not fully vaccinated, a negative COVID-19 test result must be obtained within 72 hours (3 days) of each day they attend the event.”

Kehlani and BJ The Chicago Kid are the latest additions to the Governors Ball lineup. The former will perform on Friday, September 24 with the latter aboard for Sunday, September 26. Billie Eilish, Post Malone, A$AP ROCKY, J Balvin, Megan Thee Stallion, RÜFÜS DU SOL, Ellie Goulding, Leon Bridges and 21 Savage are among the 60+ acts set to play Governors Ball next month.

Governors Ball organizers also announced this year’s After Dark performances. Freddie Gibbs, Earthgang, Muna, Shimno and other acts will perform separately ticketed shows at venues across New York City between Thursday, September 23 and Monday, September 27. Tickets go on sale to the general public this Thursday, August 19 at 10 a.m. ET via the festival’s website.
