Gorillaz served as the musical guest on Wednesday’s episode of Jimmy Kimmel Live with help from Beck. Damon Albarn and Beck dueted on “Possession Island,” a lovely ballad that closes Gorillaz’s recently released Cracker Island album.

The band’s visit to Kimmel came in between their appearances at both weekends of Coachella. While Beck didn’t join Albarn and company at the festival last Friday, Gorillaz was joined by a bevy of special guests in Indio including De La Soul, Thundercat and Del the Funky Homosapien.

Last night’s stirring “Possession Island” performance featured brass courtesy of a horn section. Beck, who contributed to the studio version found on Cracker Island, sang along with Albarn and settled in next to Damon at the piano at the end of the tune.
