Goose Performs In Richmond: Pro-Shot Video
By Scott Bernstein Nov 25, 2019 • 7:41 am PST

Goose brought their 2019 fall tour to the Broadberry in Richmond on November 10 for a performance in front of a capacity crowd. The Connecticut-based quartet posted pro-shot video of the entire concert on their YouTube channel.
The four-piece kicked off the evening with an expansive “Wysteria Lane” that spanned nearly 20 minutes. Guitarist Rick Mitarotonda then led the group on a cover of The Band’s “The W.S. Walcott Medicine Show.” Funk workout “Drive” came next and bled into a take on “Disco Inferno” by The Trammps. Goose closed out the frame with standalone versions of originals “Lead The Way” and “Yeti.”

Goose opened the second set with another lengthy original, as this time they took “All I Need” deep. “Slow Ready” was then followed by a cover of The Police’s “Every Little Thing She Does Is Magic.” From there, Goose showed off their improvisational abilities over the course of a 30-minute pairing of “Into The Myst” and “Hot Tea.” Next, multi-instrumentalist Peter Anspach took a moment to the tell the tale of the previous evening, when the band ate at Richmond restaurant Sticky Rice and a dance party broke out. The quartet capped the set with “White Lights” and returned to provide an encore featuring a cover of King Harvest’s “Dancing In The Moonlight” and their own “Time To Flee.”
