Goose Ends Bingo Tour With Acoustic Set In Sheep Pasture
By Scott Bernstein Jun 29, 2020 • 7:26 am PDT

Goose brought their Bingo Tour to a close on Sunday with an acoustic set. Unlike past aGOOSEtic performances, the whole band played on Sunday along with guest Jeff Arevalo at a sheep pasture.
The quintet opened with a debut cover of Bob Dylan’s “Shelter From The Storm” and then were joined by Jon “Coach” Lombardi on rainstick for the original “Honey Bee.” Arevalo was on percussion throughout the set with the exception of “Shelter From The Storm” on which he played upright bass. Next up was “Turned Clouds” before the ensemble worked through “Me & Julio Down By The Schoolyard.” Goose LD Andrew Goedde provided whistling as part of the Paul Simon cover.
Goose and Arevalo paired “Elizabeth” and “Flo Down” to continue the set and then served up a cover of Tom Waits’ “Christmas Card For A Hooker In Minneapolis.” The five-piece went on to show off their improvisational prowess on “Madhuvan.” The 75-minute performance came to a close with long lost rarity “This Old Sea,” which Goose last played way back on January 16, 2015.
