Pro-Shot Full Show Video: the Disco Biscuits Open NYC Run At Irving Plaza
By Andy Kahn Aug 19, 2016 • 6:57 am PDT
Last night The Disco Biscuits began a three-night run in New York City performing the first of two shows at Irving Plaza. UphoricTV offered a free webcast of Thursday’s tDB concert in NYC and pro-shot video of the entire show is available to watch.
The first set opened with the Disco Biscuits rarity “Therapy” which had been on the shelf since 2014. The bust out was followed by the instrumental “Abraxas” and the longtime tDB staple “Astronaut” before returning to conclude “Therapy.” The first half came to a close with a rendition of “Save The Robots.”
“Rainbow Song” opened a second set that stuck to the band’s well established repertoire. “Confrontation” came next and worked it’s way into a performance of “Spacebirdmatingcall.” The continuous set progressed into “I-Man” that saw keyboardist Aron Magner toying with Bruce Springsteen’s “Dancing In The Dark” ahead of the transition back into “Confrontation.” The second set was capped with “M.E.M.P.H.I.S.” and the encore went to one more longstanding favorite, “Once the Fiddler Paid.”
