Montana-based bluegrass outfit Kitchen Dwellers recently held a concert at The Fox Theatre in Boulder, Colorado with Spafford and Cycles also on the bill. The Kitchen Dwellers set saw a sit-in by Leftover Salmon’s Andy Thorn and is the latest performance featured in Kontagium’s ongoing web series “Koncerts.”
The September 22 show saw the four piece Kitchen Dwellers – bassist Joe Funk, mandolinist Shawn Swain, guitarist Max Davies and banjoist Torrin Daniels – open with “Farmers Son.” Toward the end of the performance Leftover Salmon fiddler Andy Thorn emerged to sit-in on “Reuben’s Train” as well as John Hartford’s “Up On The Hill Where They Do The Boogie.”
The quartet closed out their performance with “This Time” and a cover of Blackstreet’s R&B hit “No Diggity.” Pro-shot multi-cam footage of the entire The Kitchen Dwellers set produced by Ernest Lasen and directed by James Halterman with additional support from Leah Hilleman, Troy Fairbanks and Joshua Contreras can be viewed in the Kontagium video below:
