Full Show Audio: funky METERS Team With John Medeski In Cutler Bay

The funky METERS returned to the road for the past three nights with keyboardist John Medeski filling in for Art Neville, who is under the weather. On Saturday the quartet played the BAM! Beer & Music Backyard Festival at the South Miami-Dade Cultural Arts Center in Cutler Bay, Florida to end the run with Medeski.

Bassist George Porter Jr., guitarist Brian Stoltz, drummer Terrence Houston and John Medeski focused on some of The Meters’ most beloved songs. “Africa,” “Cissy Strut,” “People Say,” and “Here Comes The Metermen” were just a few of The Meters’ hits worked into the foursome’s set. The funky METERS ended the set with “Voodoo Child” before returning for a “Just Kissed My Baby” encore.

An audience recording of the set has surfaced and can be streamed below.
