Full Moonalice Shares ‘Love Me Today’ Video
The T Sisters’ Chloe Tietjen wrote “Love Me Today,” which celebrates both Juneteenth and Pride Month. Full Moonalice — vocalists Chloe Tietjen, Erika Tietjen, Rachel Tietjen, guitarists Barry Sless and Roger McNamee, keyboardist Jason Crosby, drummer John Molo and bassist Pete Sears along with singer Lester Chambers of The Chambers Brothers and his son Dylan Chambers — shared details on the song in the notes accompanying the video.
“This June has been a particularly important month for civil rights. Millions of protestors have taken to the streets across the US and around the world to express their opposition to police brutality. Last Friday was Juneteenth, which celebrates the day in 1865 when slaves in Galveston, TX first learned that they had been freed by the Emancipation Proclamation … two years after the fact. And June is Pride Month, celebrating everyone’s right to love the person of their choice.”
