Portland, Oregon’s Fruition will soon release a series of 45’s on 7″ vinyl and digital services. The band previewed the series by sharing the track “Alone Together” from the first installment. Additionally, Fruition confirmed a batch of September 2019 tour dates.
“Alone Together” will be paired with “Snapdragon” on the first 45, which the band expects to be available in time for their performance at Red Rocks with The Wood Brothers on September 5. Kellen Asebroek wrote “Alone Together,” while “Snapdragon” was penned by Jay Cobb Anderson and Mimi Naja. “Snapdragon” hits digital services on August 2. “‘Alone Together’ is about the huge (and often overlooked) importance of listening. When people are at their lowest, one of the most important things we can do to help is just be there and be present,” Asebroek said in a statement. “It’s amazing how far an empathetic open ear and heart can help lift someone out of the fog of depression. Reach out to your friends! We weren’t meant to go it alone.”

The 45’s will be released in limited edition on vinyl. Only 250 copies of the first volume will be pressed of which 50 will be sold through band’s website, 50 at independent record stores and 150 at Fruition concerts. A second volume will be announced soon and has already been mixed by drummer Tyler Thompson. Here’s Kellen on the 45 Series:
“We already have four different 45’s planned out, with each release containing two tracks. The beauty of this is that we can really release ANYTHING we want, without worrying about it fitting on an album. Some of them will be songs that we’ve played for years live and never recorded, some will be things your ears have never heard. Got a favorite you’d love to hear given proper studio treatment? Don’t sleep on these 45’s.”

The tour is currently slated to end with a set at Bourbon & Beyond in Louisville on September 21.
