Fruit Bats Cover Led Zeppelin In Louisville


Fruit Bats kicked off their encore at Zanzabar in Louisville on Thursday night with a Led Zeppelin cover. The band led by Eric D. Johnson performed a take on “Ramble On” as part of their 19-song concert in Louisville.

Led Zeppelin originally released “Ramble On” on their 1969 studio album, Led Zeppelin II. The song was penned by Jimmy Page and Robert Plant and has been covered by a number of bands over the years including Foo Fighters, Phish and The String Cheese Incident.

Fruit Bats are currently on the road in support of their 2019 studio album, Gold Past Life. Last night’s show featured six songs from the record during a career-spanning performance. Watch a clip shared by Julie Cheatham Foster of Fruit Bats’ “Ramble On” below:
