Foo Fighters postponed a pair of upcoming tour dates after frontman Dave Grohl lost his voice. The band’s performances at Edmonton’s Rogers Place previously scheduled for tonight and at Calgary’s Scotiabank Saddledome previously scheduled for Thursday will now take place in October.
The Foo Fighters’ frontman suffered vocal issues after the tour opener in Seattle on Saturday night. He has been placed on vocal rest. “That’s the last time I ever make out with Bono,” Grohl joked in a statement in reference to U2’s vocalist losing his voice on Saturday night. Now, Foo Fighters will play Edmonton on October 22 and Calgary on October 23.
While tickets will be honored at the new dates, refunds are available for at point of purchase until September 25 for those who would prefer to go that route. Foo Fighters are expected to resume the tour on Saturday night in Vancouver.
