Floating Points Unveils Mesmerizing New Single ‘Someone Close’

Floating Points (Sam Shepherd) released a new single, “Someone Close.” The track is the fourth from the UK producer in 2022.
Shepherd is set to compile all four singles — “Grammar,” “Vocoder,” “Problems” and “Someone Close” — on a limited vinyl due out on December 16 via Ninja Tune. The vinyl collection follows Shepherd’s collaboration with legendary jazz Saxophonist Pharaoh Sanders and the London Symphony Orchestra, the 2021 LP Promises.
Floating Points’ latest release, “Someone Close,” is a slow-building, shimmering soundscape clocking in at eight minutes. Stream it below:
