Watch Radiohead’s Thom Yorke Join Flea In London

Flea performed at KOKO in London on Tuesday as part of The Honora Tour supporting the Red Hot Chili Peppers' bassist’s solo album, Honora. Flea’s Atoms For Peace bandmate Thom Yorke of Radiohead appeared as a special guest on two songs.

After the show began with “Good Night Darius,” Yorke emerged to join Flea (who played bass and trumpet) and saxophonist/keyboardist Josh Johnson, bassist Anna Butterss, drummer Deantoni Parks and Tortoise guitarist Jeff Parker for “Traffic Lights,” a track from Honora that Flea co-wrote with Yorke.

Yorke was brought back at the end of the main set to augment a cover of Marvin Gaye’s “Got To Give It Up.” The song was performed live once by Atoms For Peace during their 2013 tour.

The 12-song set in London drew heavily from Honora, including a cover of “Wichita Lineman,” the Jimmy Webb classic that features Nick Cave on the album version. Warren Ellis of Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds and Dirty Three, who also contributed to Honora, joined Flea and the band for “Frailed.”

Additional covers in the set included Frank Ocean's “Thinkin Bout You” and Funkadelic’s “Maggot Brain.” The show closed with an encore of “Lovelovelove,” a track from Flea’s 2012 EP Helen Burns. Flea continues The Honora Tour with two nights at Alhambra in Paris on May 28 and 29.
