The Flaming Lips Cover David Bowie On ‘The Late Show With Stephen Colbert’

Wayne Coyne brought The Flaming Lips to The Late Show With Stephen Colbert last night, when the band performed “Space Oddity” in tribute to the late great David Bowie. Coyne also unveiled a song detailing his influences for a web exclusive shared by The Late Show.
The Flaming Lips’ performance of “Space Oddity” came just a few days after the band released a video for the cover. It wouldn’t be a true Flaming Lips appearance without plenty of weirdness included within and Coyne climbing aboard Chewbacca’s shoulders to sing the end of “Space Oddity” definitely filled the bill.
