KCRW shared video of Femi Kuti’s 2011 performance for the Los Angeles public radio station’s Throwback Sessions series. Femi and his band The Positive Force played songs from their 2010 album, Africa For Africa, and more.

Femi Kuti — eldest son of legendary afrobeat musician Fela Kuti — and The Positive Force kicked off the session with the classic “Dem Bobo” followed by Africa For Africa’s title track. The band continued with “Can’t Buy Me” ahead of “1, 2, 3, 4,” which appeared on the 2004 album, Africa Shrine. Femi then harkened back to his 1998 album with “Beng, Beng, Beng” before returning to Africa For Africa with “E No Good.” Femi Kuti and The Positive Force closed out the session with “IAM.”
