Father John Misty Performs On ‘The Late Show’ & Confirms U.S. & European Dates

Last night’s episode of The Late Show With Stephen Colbert featured musical guest Father John Misty. The appearance featured a rendition of a song off Pure Comedy, the new FJM album coming out Friday.

The release of Pure Comedy through Sub Pop Records marks the third album frontman Joshua Tillman has issued as Father John Misty. The former Fleet Foxes drummer previously issued 2015’s I Love You, Honeybear and 2012’s Fear Fun. A number of Father John Misty tour dates were also confirmed. The newly announced shows will include concerts across the United States in September and October, followed by a trip to Europe in November.

Four singles have been shared from Pure Comedy, including “Ballad Of The Dying Man.” Watch the performance of that album track on last evening’s Late Show here:
