Explosions In The Sky Announce New Album & Share Single

Austin-based post-rock group Explosions in the Sky have announced the upcoming release of a new album entitled The Wilderness. The new record will be issued by Temporary Residence Ltd. on April 1, while the first single can be streamed below.

Comprised of drummer Chris Hrasky, guitarist/bassist Michael James and guitarists Munaf Rayani and Mark T. Smith The Wilderness marks the band’s sixth album overall, and is their first non-soundtrack release since 2011’s Take Care, Take Care, Take Care. For the first time Explosions In The Sky did not completely self-produce the record, instead enlisting longtime collaborator John Congleton as co-producer.
