Last night, guitarist Eric Krasno wrapped a residency at the Blue Note in New York City with the Eric Krasno Trio. Sunday’s guests included guitarists Derek Trucks and Cory Wong, pianist Leslie Mendelson and others.

Krasno and his trio band mates, bassist Eric Finland and drummer Eric Kalb, were joined by Trucks at the end of their set. The Tedeschi Trucks Band co-leader reprised the role he provided on “Curse Lifter” for Kraz’s 2016 album Blood From A Stone and stayed on for Jimi Hendrix’ “Manic Depression.” Tedeschi Trucks Band trumpeter Ephraim Owens joined the trio earlier in the evening on “All About My Girl” that also featured guitarist Mark Whitfield.

Mendelson’s guest spot saw takes on “That’s What Love Will Make You Do” and “Please Ya.” Fresh off an appearance with Vulfpeck at a sold-out MSG on Saturday night, Wong joined Krasno and company on Mose Davis’ “Jan Jan.”
