Eric Clapton Confirms Only Remaining 2018 North American Shows

Famed guitarist Eric Clapton talked in recent interviews about keeping a light schedule moving forward. Clapton has just announced a pair of concerts in New York City with word they will be his “only remaining North American shows for 2018.”

Eric Clapton will return to Madison Square Garden in New York City on October 6 and 7. Clapton’s band will find him backed by Nathan East on bass, drummer Sonny Emory, guitarist Doyle Bramhall II, keyboardist Chris Stainton, organist/keyboardist Paul Carrack and vocalists Sharon White and Sharlotte Gibson. The concerts will also feature special guests Gary Clark Jr. and Jimmy Vaughan in a reprise of their roles at Clapton’s 2017 concerts.

The only other EC performance confirmed thus far in the U.S. is a headlining slot at the private Greenwich Town Party in Greenwich, Connecticut in May. Clapton wll make his return to London’s Hyde Park in July.

Tickets for Eric Clapton’s shows at MSG go on sale Friday, March 16 at 10 a.m. ET.
