Acclaimed singer-songwriter Elvis Costello has announced a batch of new tour dates in October as part of his ongoing Detour Tour. The newly confirmed 12 show U.S. run hits the Midwest and South after returning from a short European run in July.
Touring in support of his well-received 2015 memoir Unfaithful Music & Disappearing Ink, the new set of dates includes stops at Austin City Limits Live and the historic Ryman Auditorium in Nashville. Like his previous Detour Tour shows, the October concerts will showcase Costello accompanied only by his guitar and piano performing songs from throughout his long and successful career in front of a large screen projecting “family photos, mysteries, mottos and other mischief.”
The recent inductee into the Songwriters Hall Of Fame kicks of the just announced leg of the Detour Tour at the Paramount Theatre in Cedar Rapids, Iowa on October 3. It’s currently set to conclude on October 18 at Cobb Energy Centre in Atlanta.
