Electric Beethoven Unveils ‘The Seventh’ Single

Over the last few months, Reed Mathis and Electric Beethoven have been releasing a number of new tracks via Denver’s Color Red Music. For the band’s latest classical interpretation, the group has reworked Beethoven’s popular Seventh Symphony in a four-minute take dubbed “The Seventh.”

On the heels of remakes of “Ode To Joy,” “Für Elise” and the Fifth Symphony, Electric Beethoven’s newest release modernizes the famed German composer’s 1812 symphony. In addition to standard lineup of bassist Reed Mathis, keyboardist Todd Stoops, guitarist Clay Welch and drummer Josh Raymer, for the tune, the group is joined by Jason Hann of the The String Cheese Incident.

Produced by Mathis, the recording was tracked by Mike Tallman, mixed by Eddie Roberts of The New Mastersounds and mastered by Doug Krebs. Listen to the number below:
