Eggy wrapped the Southeast leg of their Here & How Tour at the Barrelhouse Ballroom in Chattanooga, Tennessee on Sunday. The jam quartet broke out the Little Feat classic “Dixie Chicken” for the first time in 469 shows during the second set.
Eggy launched the concert with new tune “Trixieville” followed by “Solid Ground” and “Laurel.” The band then delivered a cover debut of Mk.gee’s “Candy.” Following “Woah There,” the quartet concluded the first frame with “Gentle Clown,” which saw Eggy offering a bit of foreshadowing, incorporating elements of “Dixie Chicken” and original “Razi” into the jam.

Set two got underway with “Shadow.” “Dixie Chicken,” which references Tennessee, then emerged from “Shadow” with a spotlight on keyboardist Dani Battat as he navigated Little Feat keyboardist Bill Payne’s iconic barrelhouse piano. Drummer Alex Bailey handled lead vocals ahead of the jam which saw runs from both guitarist Jake Brownstein and bassist Mike Goodman.
Next, Eggy got into the aforementioned “Razi,” which contained a “Candy” callback, ahead of the “Shadow” conclusion. A pairing of “Must Come Down” and “Smile” followed before Eggy revisited “Dixie Chicken” with set two-closer “Shatter.” The band returned to encore with “Wayless.”
