Tedeschi Trucks Band will open for the Eagles at State Farm Arena in Atlanta tomorrow (Thursday, November 2) and Saturday, November 4. The TTB step in for previously announced opener Steely Dan as frontman Donald Fagen continues to recover for an undisclosed illness.

The Eagles tapped Steely Dan as support for their farewell Long Goodbye Tour. Steely Dan canceled all October appearances after Donald Fagen was hospitalized and subsequently released. The opening slot for Eagles in October was filled by Sheryl Crow in Denver, Steve Miller Band in Indianapolis, Detroit and Cleveland and Eagles guitarist Vince Gill in Pittsburgh.

News of the change in support was sent in an email by the venue. “Donald Fagen continues to recuperate, and Steely Dan will not be performing at the two Eagles shows in Atlanta on Thursday, Nov. 2nd and Saturday, Nov. 4th, at State Farm Arena,” began the note. “The Tedeschi Trucks Band is confirmed to play these two nights with the Eagles.” The Atlanta dates also appear on Tedeschi Trucks Band’s website and Ticketmaster.

Steely Dan are still listed as the opener of the Eagles’ show in Charlotte on November 7 that follows the Atlanta concerts. Find TTB and Eagles tour dates below.
