Dweezil Zappa Guests With Los Angeles Guitar Quartet

From August 30 to September 6 the sixth annual Crown Guitar Festival took place at Flathead Lake Lodge in Bigfork, Montana. One of the events Artists-In-Residence was guitarist Dweezil Zappa who not only performed with Dweezil Zappa Plays Frank Zappa, but also with the Los Angeles Guitar Quartet.

The Grammy-winning LAGQ performed an inventive take on Frank Zappa’s “Son Of Mr. Green Genes” at one of the festival’s concerts. Just as the quartet was getting underway with their Zappa cover, Dweezil emerged to add electric guitar to the otherwise unplugged version of the Hot Rats classic.
