Dweezil Zappa Extends 50 Years Of Frank Tour Into 2017

Guitarist Dweezil Zappa will continue to honor the 50th anniversary of Frank Zappa’s debut album, Freak Out!, at a series of early 2017 dates. Dweezil will regroup the band formerly known as Zappa Plays Zappa for 14 dates this January.
Zappa and his band will kick off the January 2017 50 Years Of Frank run with a performance at Vinyl Music Hall in Pensacola, Florida on January 11. From there, Dweezil brings the group to the Florida cities of Fort Lauderdale, Ponte Vedra Beach, Orlando and St. Petersburg before heading to Knoxville for a show at the Bijou Theatre on January 17. The tour continues with stops in Asheville, Raleigh and Charlotte. Dweezil Zappa will bring the run to a close with stops in Nashville, Columbus, Kalamazoo, Bloomington and Minneapolis.
The guitarist recently unveiled plans to fight to keep his stage name.
