Dumpstaphunk released a cover of Buddy Miles’ “United Nations Stomp” featuring guitarist Marcus King. The song is set to land on Dumpstaphunk’s upcoming album, Where Do We Go From Here, set for release on April 23 via Mascot Label Group/The Funk Garage.

After sharing the title track and “Justice 2020” last year, Dumpstaphunk detailed Where Do We Go From Here in January and now share “United Nations Stomp.” Along with King, the Dumpstaphunk version features renowned guitarist Waddy Wachtel (Keith Richards, Rolling Stones, Stevie Nicks). The Beastie Boys’ longtime sound engineer Mario Caldato Jr. receives producing credit on the track.

Dumpstaphunk bassist Tony Hall spoke about the choice cover in a statement. Read his words below:

First, I’m a big fan of Buddy Miles. I like the groove and the line you can dance to the rhythm of a funky beat! With a strong message, it talks about peace, love and harmony – something we all need today. This song was originally released 47 years ago by Buddy Miles in 1973 on his album Boogie Bear.

Dumpstaphunk’s “Untied Nations Stomp” arrived with an accompanying lyric video. Watch it below:
