Drummer Todd Nance Returns To Widespread Panic
By Scott Bernstein Feb 2, 2016 • 7:21 am PST
Just before Widespread Panic embarked on Fall Tour 2014, the band revealed drummer Todd Nance would be taking time away from the band to attend to personal matters. Nance hasn’t performed with the band since, but that is expected to change tonight when Panic kicks off this year’s Panic En La Playa.
Widespread Panic treated those arriving early to a soundcheck set at the Hard Rock Hotel in Riviera Maya, Mexico yesterday and Nance was behind the kit. Todd last performed with the band at the Phases Of The Moon festival in September of 2014. He has since played a number of shows with various projects, but not with Widespread Panic. Duane Trucks had been filling in for Nance over the past 15 months.
