Drive-By Truckers Cover Rolling Stones In Chicago

Southern Rockers Drive-By Truckers celebrated Halloween at the Vic Theatre in Chicago last week. The band mixed in a few Rolling Stones classics within their set and encore as well as a blues standard the Stones like to cover.

Ace harmonica player and Chicago resident James “Sugar Blue” Whiting, who played on the Stones’ original recording of “Miss You,” sat in with the Truckers on the tune as well as “Little Red Rooster” and “Buttholeville.” As part of their encore, Patterson Hood and Co. tackled the Stones’ “Wild Horses.”
