Kevin Parker brought out a familiar face during Tame Impala's concert at Boston’s TD Garden on Tuesday. Joe Keery, who has spent the past month opening the band’s North American tour with his Djo project, emerged during the headliner’s set to assist on “Loser,” marking the first onstage collaboration between the acts on the current trek.
The guest appearance held extra significance as Keery starred in the official music video for “Loser,” a standout from Tame Impala’s 2025 album Deadbeat. Keery, who famously played Steve Harrington in Stranger Things, has been focusing on Djo following the conclusion of the Netflix series.
The actor-musician strolled on stage towards the middle of Tame Impala’s set and lit as cigarette as the band performed “Loser.” Keery initially just hung out, occassionally sharing the mic with Parker on the chorus, before strapping on his guitar for the final minute of the song.

Tame Impala began the run of North American dates in Miami on July 7. Djo has opened all dates, as the group will until August 4 in Charlotte. Dominic Fike takes over support duties for the second leg from August 25 through September 19.
