The Disco Biscuits Postpone Shows Due To Marc Brownstein Emergency Surgery

The Disco Biscuits have canceled four concerts due to bassist Marc Brownstein needing emergency surgery. Brownstein will undergo a procedure on Tuesday, January 14 to repair a detached retina.

The Disco Biscuits will no longer appear at their scheduled concerts this week slated for Raleigh (Wednesday, January 15), Charlotte (Thursday, January 16) and Silver Springs, Maryland (Friday, January 17 and Saturday, January 18). Here’s the note from the band regarding the circumstances surrounding the canceled shows:

To our fans:

With preparations underway for this week’s shows throughout the Southeast, an unexpected emergency struck close to home – Marc has been diagnosed with a detached retina and will undergo emergency surgery tomorrow morning to save his vision.

As such, and only after great consideration of all options, unfortunately this week’s shows in Raleigh, Charlotte & Silver Spring will be rescheduled. Our goal is that we can announce make up dates soon — and, with that in mind, your tickets will be valid for these TBA performances at all three venues. But, for those of you planning to travel to be with us this week, we did not want to wait any longer to let you know.

We thank you for your patience and understanding — and ask that you send your best wishes to Marc, as we know you will.

The Disco Biscuits announced several new 2020 tour dates earlier today. Brownstein indicated he intends to play all of the newly announced shows and further explained his situation through a post on Twitter:
