Dickey Betts died on April 18, 2024 at age 80 due to cancer and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease. The Rock & Roll Hall Of Famer was a member of The Allman Brothers Band from their formation in 1969 through 2000 and wrote several of the group’s most beloved songs.
“For so many of us, Dad’s gift to the world was music,” said Duane Betts in a statement. “I’m so happy to come together with some very special friends to honor the depth and beauty of his life and, of course, to share that sweet, melodic sound he is so well known for.”
Tickets go on sale to the general public on Monday, January 13 at 10 a.m. ET. To honor Dickey Betts’ musical legacy, concert proceeds will fund music education programs.
