DelFest Announces 2018 Lineup Additions


The 2018 DelFest music festival will be held on May 24 – 27 at Allegany County Fairgrounds in Cumberland, Maryland. Organizers have announced a number of additional acts slated to perform at the event taking place over Memorial Day Weekend.

Joining headliners The Del McCoury Band for the 11th annual DelFest will be Greensky Bluegrass, The Dawg Trio with David Grisman, Danny Barnes, Sam Grisman, Richard Thompson, The Infamous Stringdusters, Rhiannon Giddens, Mandolin Orange, The Gibson Brothers, The California Honeydrops, Horseshoes & Hand Grenades, The New Orleans Suspects, The Broomestix, The Grass is Dead and Justin Moses & Cody Kilby. They will appear along with previously confirmed acts The Travelin’ McCourys, Old Crow Medicine Show, The Wood Brothers, Fruition, Ricky Skaggs & Kentucky Thunder, Sam Bush, The Jerry Douglas Band, Rising Appalachia and Sierra Hull among several others.

DelFest 2018 will feature a Saturday night performance by The Bluegrass Congress featuring Del McCoury and a hand-selected lineup that includes Ricky Skaggs, David Grisman, Sam Bush, Béla Fleck, Jerry Douglas, Bryan Sutton and Stuart Duncan. Once again, The Travelin’ McCourys and friends will host a three-day music academy immediately preceding DelFest. The DelFest Academy takes place May 21 – 23 and offers an opportunity to learn from some of the best pickers in the world for all levels of musicians.
