Famed bluegrass musician Del McCoury recently issued a new album Del & Woody featuring a collection of songs he wrote using Woody Guthrie’s notebooks of unused lyrics. McCoury was a guest on this weekend’s live broadcast of A Prairie Home Companion from the iconic Ryman Auditorium in Nashville, Tennessee – a highlight of which has been officially shared.

McCoury joined the show’s house band and pianist Rich Dworsky on a rendition of the Del & Woody cut “Let In This World Alone” and the bluegrass standard “Wicked Path Of Sin.” Del returned later in the show to perform the first song he ever wrote in 1966 “Dreams” accompanied by Stuart Duncan.
