Del McCoury Band welcomed many special guests including Phish drummer Jon Fishman, acclaimed mandolin/fiddle player Sam Bush, dobro master Jerry Douglas and more during a special celebratory concert at the IBMA’s Wide Open Bluegrass festival. The “Delebration” concert took place on Saturday at Red Hat Amphitheater in Raliegh, North Carolina.

Other guests who participated in the Del McCoury Band’s Delebration set included Preservation Hall Jazz Band, country performer and acclaimed bluegrass pickers Sierra Hull and Ronnie Bowman.

Among the collaborations was a cover of U2’s “Pride (In The Name Of Love)” that was anchored by Fishman and led by Bently. Fishman was also on the drum kit for McCoury’s “Beauty Of My Dreams” (which Phish has covered a number of times), “Little Cabin Home On The Hill,” Shawn Camp’s “My Love Will Not Change,” Richard Thompson’s “1952 Vincent Black Lightning,” The Lovin’ Spoonful’s “Nashville Cats” and more. Many of the special guests came out for an “I’ll Fly Away” finale. Watch audience-shot video highlights posted by YouTube user 946459 below:
