Del McCoury Band Announces Guests For Blue Ox Performance

When organizers of the second annual Blue Ox Music Festival detailed the lineup for this year’s festival, it was revealed the Del McCoury Band would be joined by special guests. Today, Del himself announced his band will be aided by members of New Orleans’ Preservation Hall Jazz Band at the festival on Saturday, June 11 at 5:30 p.m.
The two legendary acts first teamed up in for the 2011 studio album American Legacies and have only shared the stage a handful of times since. Watch Del’s video announcement of the upcoming Blue Ox collaboration:
The Blue Ox Music Festival will take place at Whispering Pines Campground in Eau Claire, Wisconsin June 9 – 11. Hosts Pert Near Sandstone have co-curated the lineup and will perform twice. Bela Fleck & The Flecktones, Railroad Earth, Greensky Bluegrass and The Wood Brothers are among the other acts on the bill.
