Dead Feat & Voodoo Dead To Return During Jazz Fest

The initial lineup for the 5th Annual Nolafunk Jazzfest Series has been revealed and includes the return of Dead Feat and Voodoo Dead. George Clinton & P-Funk, Los Lobos, Soul Rebels and Tab Benoit are among other performers confirmed to play shows as part of the series.

On April 23 and 24, New Orleans’ Howlin’ Wolf will host Dead Feat, a band that performs songs from the repertoires of the Grateful Dead, Little Feat and Anders Osborne as well as other covers. The band is comprised of Anders Osborne, Paul Barrere & Fred Tackett of Little Feat, Jackie Greene, John Gros, Brady Blade and Carl Dufrene. This year’s second installment of Voodoo Dead features a different lineup as the performance at Republic New Orleans on May 1 will see guitarist Steve Kimock team up with Jeff Chimenti, Jackie Greene, George Porter Jr., John Kimock, and special guests to be announced.

Republic will also host Clinton & P-Funk plus special guests on April 24, Los Lobos and Tab Benoit on April 29 as well as Big Freedia (live band set) and Soul Rebels with Tank & The Bangas on April 30. Tickets go on sale to Nolafunk mailing list subscribers ahead of the general on-sale Wednesday, February 10 at 12 p.m. ET.
