Dead & Company‘s recently completed 30-date Dead Forever residency at the Las Vegas Sphere was a huge triumph musically, but it also was a massive success financially. A whopping 476,945 tickets were sold for the run with a total gross of $131,449,777.

The members of the band — Grateful Dead guitarist Bob Weir and drummer Mickey Hart, along withJohn Mayer, bassist Oteil Burbridge, keyboardist Jeff Chimenti and drummer Jay Lane — began the residency at the technologically enhanced venue on May 16. Dead & Company went on to perform a total of 30 shows at the Las Vegas Sphere over non-consecutive weekends through August 10.

Promoter Live Nation reported tallies from all 30 concerts. Touring Data shared the figures on X and its website.

Average tickets sold per show were 15,898 which made the average revenue a jaw-dropping $4,381,659. Sphere seats 18,600 audience members and can host 20,000 people in standing capacity.

Dead Forever tickets were sold at an average price of $275.61. The most successful weekend for tickets sold was the first, May 16 – 18, when 50,275 tickets were purchased. Surprisingly, the holiday weekend of July 4 – 6 “only” saw ticket sales of 45,026, the lowest figure. The variance between weekends wasn’t big considering each saw between 50,275 and 45,026 tickets sold.

For gross, the weekend of June 6 – 8 took the title with $15,496,090. The penultimate weekend was last as $9,587,390 was grossed. Only three of the 10 weekends brought in less than $13.4 million: July 4 – 6 and the two weekends in August.

The Future for Dead & Company is currently unclear. “The band loved playing the Sphere, I can tell you that. And they love the residency,” one of the band’s managers, Bernie Cahill told Pollstar and opened the door to future shows. “I know they would definitely be interested in going back. In terms of next year and what GD60 holds, it’s all a conversation, we’ll see. There’s a lot to celebrate.”

Ticket sales do not include the boatload of merch the band solo and other ancillary revenue streams. Cahill played coy when asked about one, the possibility of a concert film documenting the run. “At this point, I can’t say anything,” Cahill responded.
