Variety has shared a statement from the County of Los Angeles confirming Dead & Company’s show was interrupted by an “unfounded bomb threat.” Here’s the text of the statement:

Last night, a performance at the Hollywood Bowl was briefly interrupted while on-site authorities investigated an unfounded bomb threat that was called in during the concert. Because the safety of our patrons is paramount, we immediately initiated a thorough search of the area that turned up no evidence validating the threat. Hollywood Bowl security always includes onsite law enforcement officers, explosive detection dogs and metal detectors at all entrances to the venue. The concert resumed without further incident.

Wednesday night’s Dead & Company show at the iconic Hollywood Bowl in Los Angeles was interrupted towards the beginning of the second set. “At about 10:30 p.m., while the band was playing, the stage suddenly went dark,” reports CBSLA.com. “Crew members appeared to say something to the band, who were taken off stage. According to fans, dogs were then brought onto the stage.”

Dead & Company was in the middle of “He’s Gone” when the show was stopped. Approximately seven minutes later the band returned to the stage and picked up where they left off performing the Grateful Dead classic tune. Guitarist Bob Weir noted “all clear, kinda” and the concert continued without further delay. The six-piece features Weir and his fellow Grateful Dead band mates Mickey Hart and Bill Kreutzmann joined by John Mayer, Jeff Chimenti and Oteil Burbridge. Security measures surrounding the concert were tightened in the wake of a bombing at an Ariana Grande concert in Manchester.
