Dead & Company Play ‘Jack Straw’ On ‘Late Show With Stephen Colbert’

Dead & Company returned to late night television on Thursday for an appearance on The Late Show With Stephen Colbert. Grateful Dead members Bill Kreutzmann, Mickey Hart and Bob Weir along with Jeff Chimenti, Oteil Burbridge and John Mayer performed “Jack Straw” on their first of two consecutive Late Show appearances.

The six-piece filmed their Late Show performances on Monday ahead of a taping featuring former Vice President Joe Biden and Elton John. Dead & Company spent a while soundchecking and wound up nailing their take on the Grateful Dead’s Europe ’72 gem.
