While Jimmy Kimmel Live has yet to post footage of Dead & Company’s “Althea” from yesterday’s concert, a fan-shot video of the song has surfaced and can be viewed below.

On Tuesday afternoon, Dead & Company played a mini-concert outdoors in Los Angeles put together by the ABC late night talk show Jimmy Kimmel Live. Grateful Dead members Bob Weir, Bill Kreutzmann and Mickey Hart as well as Jeff Chimenti, Oteil Burbridge and John Mayer performed five songs for a crowd that included a number of pro-marijuana legalization advocates.

Dead & Company opened the outdoor concert with a version of “Bertha” that aired on the evening’s episode of Jimmy Kimmel Live. The sextet then treated the Deadhead-heavy crowd to the “Scarlet Begonias” > “Fire On The Mountain” pairing as well as “Althea” and “Not Fade Away.” “Scarlet”/”Fire” came in at 15 minutes, so the band didn’t cut things short in Los Angeles. Jimmy Kimmel Live has posted video of every song Dead & Company played on Tuesday with the exception of “Althea.” (Update: Watch fan-shot video captured by Ed Congdon below)

In a little less than a month Dead & Company begins Summer Tour with a performance in Charlotte, North Carolina on June 10 followed by a headlining appearance at this year’s Bonnaroo.
