Dead & Company unveiled their take on “High Time” two years ago today. D&C included the tune in their concert at the Hollywood Bowl in Los Angeles on June 3, 2019.
The debut followed the Grateful Dead incarnation’s reveal of Merle Haggard’s “Mama Tried” from Shoreline a few nights earlier. At the Hollywood Bowl, bassist Oteil Burbridge led the band through “High Time” from GD’s 1970 album Workingman’s Dead.
